Her
Name is Green Acre features an incredible diversity of styles
and artists. While it is impossible to do every one of the 20 pieces
justice on this page, we would like to highlight a few:
- One Act of Kindness, written and
sung by Rose-Marie Peterson, who, as a guest at Green Acre, was
touched by the spirit of service demonstrated here. It reaches
the pure core of transforming emotion that Green Acre is all about.
- The Vision of Sarah Farmer, written
by Marabeth Reichel and Nura Creitz during their recent summer
volunteer service. It demonstrates how youth can be inspired from
their service at Green Acre and how Green Acre provides for the
expansion of its volunteers talents.
- Somebody, written and sung by former
administrator Dick Grover has a great, heartfelt beat. It wakes
you up and stimulates you to act. This may be the first song on
the album that your children will memorize.
- The Ballad of Fred Mortenson, performed
by Mike and Bev Rogers tells one of the many stories unique to
Green Acre history.
- Gospel style is well represented by Van
Gilmer and family Cause Me to Taste and Eric Dozier Guide
Me .
- Red Grammer with The Source of Unity
and Mary Davis with Key to Peace raise our souls on the
melodies of unity and peace.
While
each stands alone, the beauty is enhanced with the diversity of
the whole. The rich and diversified textures allow us to experience
the differences in our creative community. You will feel a sense
of community in Her Name Is Green Acre.
