Conference Planning

Conference planners will find Green Acre Bahá'í School and Conference Center the ideal retreat for groups of 15 to 100. Green Acre facilities feature a recently restored Victorian Inn. Baths are private and semi-private. The Inn has 21 bed-and-breakfast-style rooms which accommodate 45 people. Two other restored, turn-of-the-century cottages also provide meeting space and housing for smaller groups or additional space for large groups. Meals are served in the Inn, which overlooks the Piscataqua River.

Green Acre is a non-alcoholic facility. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only outside of the buildings. Single men and women are accommodated by gender in rooms with two or three twin beds.

You can find us on Route 103 in Eliot, Maine, approximately three miles from US I-95. Green Acre is located five miles from historic Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which abounds with shops and restaurants. Nearby are colonial Strawbery Banke, John Paul Jones House, outlet shopping, harbor cruise ships, York beaches, art galleries, and theatres. Eliot, Maine is one hour from Boston, Manchester, and Portland airports.

For more than a century, Green Acre has provided thousands with the opportunity for study, reflection, and rest in a most peaceful atmosphere. Meeting Facilities

Kelsey Center

The Kelsey Center is a modern air-conditioned classroom building with elegant auditorium for 220. It contains a Meeting Hall and Seminar Rooms.

Meeting Hall Rates: $880/day; $440/half-day
Seminar Room Rates: $330/day.

Fellowship House

Fellowship House is an attractive residence with living room and bedrooms for up to 40 people.

Facility Rate: $220/day
Overnight Rates: $42/person/night - double occupancy
$57/person/night - single occupancy.

Sarah Farmer Inn

Sarah Farmer Inn is an elegant Victorian Inn which sleeps up to 50 people. Semi-private baths.

Overnight Rates: $42/person/night - double occupancy
$57/person/night - single occupancy.

Ole Bull Cottage

Ole Bull Cottage is a riverside residence with executive conference room. Sleeps up to 15 people. Private baths. Air-conditioned.

Facility Fee: $390/day
Overnights: $53/person/night - double occupancy
$79/person/night - single occupancy.

Food Services

The Great Common Denominator of any function is the food service that is offered. The Food Service Coordinator at Green Acre strives to produce the very best quality food in a setting that is hallowed by nature's beauty. We can't take credit for what nature provides, but we spare no effort to provide the quality and efficiency of service that has become a tradition at Green Acre.

Meals: Breakfast = $ 7.75, Lunch = $ 10.50, Dinner = $12.00
Breaks: $4.00/person/break

Special needs: Green Acre is pleased to be able to offer Vegetarian options at every meal, and Vegan options upon request. We also offer an extensive salad bar at all lunches and dinners.

Green Acre is not able to accommodate other special dietary requests. If this is a concern, we encourage you to bring the necessary foods with you. A microwave and refrigerator are provided for your convenience. Due to state licensing restrictions, we are not able to provide kitchen access. Additional details are available in this Food Service Policy Letter effective January 1, 2010.

Sample Menus

Breakfasts might include: Scrambled eggs with feta, spinach and roasted red peppers; scrambled tofu; homefries; quiche; hotcakes with blueberry sauce; French toast; bacon or sausage; hot 7-grain cereal; assorted cold cereals; granola; fresh fruit platter; yogurt; juice; coffee and a wide selection of herbal and black teas.

Lunch choices might include: A variety of sandwich fixings such as curried chicken salad, turkey and cranberry salad, homemade hummus, curried tofu, seafood salad, assorted cheeses and sandwich meats - served with a selection of breads and wraps. Our large salad bar is always available as an option, with as many as 15-20 selections. We offer homemade soups and occasional hot entrees such as calzones, tacos, and pizza.

Dinner entrees might include: Grilled Salmon with Mango Salsa, Baked Stuffed Sole, Persian Beef and Celery Koresh, Chicken and Tofu Kabobs, and Thai Chickpeas. Assorted hot rolls, fresh vegetables, side dishes, desserts, as well as our salad bar. Vegetarian and Vegan choices are always offered, however prior notice is preferred.

Breaks: Breaks are served between meals and could include: Coffee and assorted Teas, Juices and Water, Muffins, Cookies, Assorted Fresh Fruit.
