Registration Information for 2010

Pre-Registration is Required

All participants must pre-register.

Housing Fees include program fees and meals

Housing fees include program fees, housing, and meals.  Extra fees which may apply to a given session are noted in the course description for that session. Green Acre provides sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels in all on-campus housing.

Late Arrivals

No reductions in fees can be made for late arrivals, early departures, or meals missed.

Required Deposits

Registrations are not confirmed without the required deposit. If you pay by credit card, your card will be charged online. If you pay by check, your check is due within 10 days of your registration or your registration will be canceled.

The online registration program will calculate your required deposit amount, and you may then change the dollar figures in the boxes to reflect paying the deposit only, or more if you wish.

Residents: 25% of total per resident

Commuters: 25% of total per commuter

Campground: Only available June – September. Bath house with hot water. No plug-ins or hook-ups. No campfires. (If you do not see this option in the online registration process, register for "Standard" housing and email us at greenacre@usbnc.org. We will reduce the rate to the campground rate once we are sure there is room in the campground.)

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation more than 14 days prior to the session starting date, your deposit will be refunded less a $10 per person processing fee. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the starting date, the entire deposit is retained. (Starting January 1, 2009, the deposit is 25% of the total charge.) Registrations and deposits are non-transferable.

Sponsorship

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or approved sponsor. (See exceptions below.) Contact Registrar for approval of non-parent sponsors. Sponsorship Form and Medical Release required in advance.

Institutes

Sponsorship is not necessary for the following sessions, which provide staff supervision of young people, in separate housing:

  • Camp Green Acre
  • Badasht Prep Jr. Youth Institute
  • Badasht Youth Academy
  • Jr. Youth Institute
  • Turning-15 Youth Institute

However a Medical Release is required. Please also review Youth/Jr. Youth Community Standards with your child before she or he attends.
