DESCRIPTION:Who were the 19th century Figures who spurred tens of thousands (now millions) of people to sacrifice their own comfort and status to work for the realization of teachings like the elimination of prejudice of all kinds\, the equality of women and men\, and the unity of all major world religions? \n\n\n\nJoin Green Acre from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM on Friday\, February 12th as we explore a brief history of the Bahá’í Faith with Iraj Rahmani\, utilizing the art of story-telling to capture a bit of the truly extraordinary and historically unique lives of the three Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBorn in Iran\, Iraj Rahmani escaped the country as a teenager in 1983 due to the ongoing persecution of Bahá’ís after the Islamic Revolution. He arrived in U.S. in 1985 and went on to receive an education in chemical engineering and biology. Eventually settling in Louisville\, KY\, Iraj worked as a consultant and Vice President of Human Resources for Knowledge Sciences and FKI Logistex. Now a father of three\, Iraj serves humanity and God with every breath he takes (and yes\, he would be mortified if he knew I said this about him). \n\n\n\n\n\nThis virtual meeting is intended for residents of the Maine/New Hampshire Seacoast area.
