Please join Green Acre for a free monthly zoom gathering for those local to the Maine/New Hampshire Seacoast to explore spiritual themes through art and devotion. Each month we’ll explore a particular topic and artistic expression. This gathering is open to people of all ages (that means kids are a go!) and backgrounds, and will include creatively engaging with the Divine Word found in the holy writings of the world’s spiritual traditions. Each monthly gathering will vary based on the theme and the specific artistic medium chosen for the month. Please feel free to bring a contribution of the spirit to share—whether music, prayer, poetry, etc.
This month, guest artist Devin French will lead us in a painting/drawing activity that will take us deeper into the vital importance of “inner work.” Supplies needed: paint, brushes, small container of water and paper/canvas OR drawing utensils.
Throughout his life, Devin French has created artwork in some form or another, from airbrushing t-shirts to making pottery, spray-painting walls to making custom glass commissions. He has used his creative endeavors in many ways, including teaching workshops to youth and adults, designing glass art for places of worship and for personal reflection and growth. Devin has been active in the art-glass field for 16 years.
Bahá’ís are striving to contribute to building communities where acts of worship and efforts to build the common good are woven together. All who want to be a part of this process are welcome!
The purpose of gathering together for devotion is to create a space to share what uplifts the human spirit. Praying and reflecting together create deeper bonds in our families, among friends, and in our community. Please join us!
