DESCRIPTION:Join us as Kevin Locke and Christopher Buck present on a Bahá’í perspective on Indigenous Messengers of God. As the only world religion that acknowledges the reality of Divine Teachers from North America – the Baha’i Faith offers unique insight. \n\n\n\nKevin shares Lakota and Anishnaabe heritage; his Lakota name\, Tokeya Inajin means “The First to Arise”. He is known throughout the world as a visionary Lakota Hoop Dancer\, preeminent player of the indigenous Northern Plains flute\, a traditional storyteller\, cultural ambassador\, recording artist and educator. \n\n\n\nChristopher Buck (PhD\, JD) attorney and independent  scholar\, is the author of several books\, including: God & Apple Pie  (2015)\, Religious Myths and Visions of America (2009)\, Alain Locke:  Faith and Philosophy (2005)\, Paradise and Paradigm (1999)\, Symbol and  Secret (1995/2004)\, Religious Celebrations (co-author\, 2011)\, and also  contributed chapters in such books as: The Bahá’í Faith and African  American History (2019); ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s Journey West: The Course of  Human Solidarity (2013)\, American Writers (2017\, 2015\, 2010 & 2004)\,  British Writers (2017\, 2014)\, The Islamic World (2008)\, and The  Wiley-Blackwell Companion to the Qur’an (2006/2017). \n\n\n\nWe will be using Zoom to host this event (Meeting ID: 615 824 716).NOTE: We are limited to 100 participants \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVisit the Zoom Help Center for tutorials and video guides.
