The Open Circle Network* is an independent nonprofit organization, under the auspices of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States, that invites Bahá’ís and friends facing challenging personal issues to explore the Writings, pray, share and learn in a spiritual, healing and confidential environment.
This year’s gathering dates for Green Acre a Bahá’í Center of Learning are Thursday, May 16th thru Sunday, May 19th. This is a unique gathering—it requires participants to attend the entire session from the opening circle on Friday morning to the closing circle on Sunday at lunch time.
Our Theme this year is The Remedy is at our Door: Walking Together in the Path of Service
“Today, humanity is bowed down with trouble, sorrow and grief, no one escapes; the world is wet with tears; but, thank God, the remedy is at our doors. Let us turn our hearts away from the world of matter and live in the spiritual world! It alone can give us freedom!”
— ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
“To follow a path of service, whatever form one’s activity assumes, requires faith and tenacity. In this connection, the benefit of walking that path in the company of others is immense.”
— The Universal House of Justice
The Open Circle Gathering is a group experience that begins Thursday evening and continues through closing on Sunday at lunch time. Each part of this process has evolved over time to ensure a safe, and loving environment that provides healing support for participants. This gathering is uniquely structured, using Baha’i writings and other spiritually oriented materials as well as materials based on current research. This creates a setting for any soul to heal, share, grow and learn from each other and from the information we share.
To preserve confidentiality and a safe environment for all, participants are asked to attend the entire gathering. If you are not able to attend the entire session we ask that you plan to attend at a later time when your schedule will allow full participation.
We look forward to seeing you!
* Note: The Open Circle Network continues the healing process initiated by BNASSA (Baha’i Network for AIDs, Sexuality, Addiction and Abuse).
