DESCRIPTION:Winter School 2024 | Families & the Nine-Year Plan\n\n\n\nProgram dates: December 27th through 31st \n\n\n\nThis year’s Winter School will build on the experiences of the previous two seasonal schools. We will be studying\, consulting\, taking action and reflecting together with the aim of bringing what we learn at Green Acre back to our communities. \n\n\n\nWhat is the intersection between families and the 9 Year Plan? What practical skills\, attitudes and spiritual qualities are needed for families to serve the community together? What capacities can families develop in efforts to build vibrant communities? \n\n\n\nIn recent guidance\, the Universal House of Justice encouraged the National Spiritual Assembly to consider how permanent schools can “…complement and support the work of the institute…” and the region where they are located. In an effort to further those aims we are both designing the program to complement and support the work of the institute and prioritizing families and friends from the Northeast who have not attended previously. \n\n\n\nPre-Registration | October 16th at 6:00 PM\, Eastern Time   \n\n\n\nWinter School will have a two-step registration process in hopes of creating a smoother\, faster\, and more equitable experience. \n\n\n\nThe two-step process will be as follows: \n\n\n\n\nPre-Registration\n\nOn Wednesday\, October 16th at 6:00 PM\, Eastern Time\, we will open our Pre-Registration form.\n\n\n\nThis simplified form will ask for only basic information for each family registering.\n\n\n\nPlease note: Filling out this initial form does not mean one has registered for Winter School.\n\n\n\nWe will be prioritizing families and friends from the Northeast who have not attended previously as well as volunteers. Because of this prioritization\, this is not a first come\, first served process.\n\n\n\nPre-registration Link (live at 6:00 PM\, October 16th)\n\n\n\n\n\nFormal Registration\n\nAfter the initial Pre-Registration period\, for those invited to the program\, we will send a separate link to formally invite you to register by November 1st. \n\n\n\nIf you haven’t received a formal invitation by then\, you will automatically be placed on the waiting list. Please be sure not to make any travel arrangements until you have formally registered.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPre-registration ends:
