Ann began learning how to paper mache in the early 90’s. Her family had to sell their home and leave the community they’d lived in for 20 years due to an economic downturn. They moved to Portsmouth to a rental home. Her daughter introduced her to paper mache, and her fascination with all she could do with paper, cans, styrofoam pieces, and other pieces of trash, which would end up in the landfill, grew into a passion. Professionally, Ann is a psychotherapist in private practice. She is semi-retired now and has built a small studio in the home she now owns In Portsmouth. She lives with her son and his family and loves living in a three generational home, which she considers her spiritual and safe haven…she gets to watch her grandchildren grow and mature, and share she life with her son and daughter in law in so many inspiring ways. Ann continues to find ways to avoid sending plastics to the landfill. She also now makes paper earrings she currently is selling them at Just Us Chickens in Kittery.
