Born to and raised in the house I have lived in for 35 years, my yard, my neighborhood continue to inspire me. Families of diverse ethnicities have moved in over the years. Gardens and homes change, yet in so many ways there is a constancy of care that maintains it all. My art is a testament of how nature in facing so many environmental changes strives and persists to bring food, oxygen, beauty and joy to everyday, just as the efforts to be caring neighbors allows for differences of habits and ideas to be prompts for sharing laughter and wonder. All of my art stems from the nature I observe everyday where I live.
