K.McK is my artist’s signature
As a child I was encouraged to pursue Art by my family and community members. In high school I won a First Place for a drawing depicting a hero and a heroine, just after a battle with a monster. Further encouraged, I pursued Fine Arts at the university level, graduating with a degree in Fine Arts and Education.
I taught elementary school in Fort Worth, Texas, my hometown, and in other North Texas school districts. I am now retired from teaching and pursuing my own career as an artist.
• Drawing, pen and ink, markers, paint, and other two-dimensional renderings of ideas, shapes, letters, and themes, that I believe will add to the humanity in us all.
• To Ceramics, I am a latecomer, but the pursuit of excellence through three-dimensional expressions gives me much joy and satisfaction.
• Two-dimensional to three-dimensional work allows me to express non-dimensional ideas into a form of reality
I continue to pursue through art, a means of communicating, encouraging, and working with others for the probability of a much-needed, hopeful future.
