Laura Mazza-Dixon is a classical guitar teacher and viola da gamba player who lives in Connecticut. Antrim House Books published her first book of poetry, “Forged by Joy” in 2017. Her poem “A Year in Pictures – a 2017 Triptych” was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Joy Harjo Poetry Competition. Her poem “With great haste, but still too late” appeared in the Dec. 2020 online issue 124 of Writer’s Resist. “Acqua Alta” was selected for the book “Waking up to the Earth: Connecticut Poets in a Time of Global Climate Crisis,” published by Grayson Books in 2021. Her poem “A Year in Pictures – A 2017 Triptych” was a semi-finalist in the Joy Harjo Poetry Competition and received an honorary mention in New Millennium Writings in 2020.
