Parivash Rohani is a retired intensive care nurse, artist, and human rights advocate whose work explores themes of hope, resilience, belonging, and the oneness of humanity. Originally from Iran and now living in Maine, her life experiences have deeply influenced her artistic vision.
She is an advocate for the international #OurStoryIsOne campaign, an art initiative that honors the lives of ten Bahá’í women executed in Shiraz, Iran, in 1983 because of their faith. Through installations, sculpture, mixed media, and community engagement, she uses art to foster dialogue about justice, compassion, freedom of conscience, and the dignity of every human being.
Parivash believes that art has the power to heal, inspire reflection, and build bridges across cultures. Her work invites viewers to recognize our shared humanity and to become active participants in creating a more just, peaceful, and united world.
