This is a unique opportunity to participate in an in-person, one week immersion in the Copper to Gold program for personal transformation to recognize and address behaviors associated with racial prejudice and superiority in order to contribute to a healthy and vibrant community life. The program has been offered extensively in weekly format online for periods of 16 weeks. This is a pilot of an intensive, one-week, in-person experience sponsored by the Regional Bahá’í Council of the Northeastern States.
Copper to Gold is a Bahá’í-inspired, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting race amity through personal transformation.
Copper to Gold believes that individuals possess the power to transform their internal lives and improve the world around them. Recognizing and addressing behaviors associated with racial prejudice and superiority promotes a healthy community life.
Our mission is to empower individuals to support the development of healthy communities and institutions by promoting racial justice and true unity in diversity.
We explore 19 unique “inherent and at times subconscious” behaviors that harm interracial relations. Copper to Gold uses multimedia, current research on racism, passages from the Bahá’í Writings and discussion questions to enrich consultation and reflection.
