In this era of extreme polarization between all kinds of people, it often feels like we are just recycling hostilities and not really making progress towards social justice or greater human well-being. Yet, a simple frame shift—from opposition to invitation—opens up new vistas and presents new solutions.
In this workshop, we will explore just what is meant by the “invitational perspective” and experiment with how to apply it.
This interactive zoom workshop is free of charge and is intended for residents of the Maine/New Hampshire Seacoast area. Registration is required and attendance is limited to 30 participants.
Layli Maparyan, Ph.D., is Executive Director of the Wellesley Centers for Women, a women and gender focused research and action institute at Wellesley College, where she is also Professor and Chair of the Africana Studies Department.
