Green Acre has long been a spiritual gathering place; so many souls have visited and blessed the grounds. Foremost among them was ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, who was remembered as saying He had left enough spirit at Green Acre to bring dry bones to life. Service at Green Acre allows one to draw deeply on those spiritual energies to renew, revive and prepare to serve our communities more effectively. Would you like the opportunity to contribute to the physical, social, and spiritual beauty of Green Acre?
Would you like to build skills for hosting large numbers of people? Would you like to learn what it takes to create a clean environment, cook nutritious food, and provide a welcoming experience for all who visit? Would you like to experience what goes into feeding 50, 75, or 100 people? Would you like to be a part of ensuring clean rooms, laundry, and facilities for all guests? Are you interested in developing a greater capacity to teach children or facilitate groups of junior youth and youth?
Many volunteer positions are available in food services, hospitality, and our administrative office for the whole summer (June to August) and during specific programs. We also have opportunities for teaching children and group facilitation during particular sessions. In addition, we have paid service opportunities for both summer and year-round positions.
